BIOGRAPHY

Rich Hurley knows corporate theater from backstage and from on the stage. He has been working in the corporate events and trade show industry for over 25 years. 

As a National Account Executive with Freeman for 18 years, he produced events for many of the country's largest conventions and trade shows.  He specialized in staging and technical production for general sessions, breakout meetings, entertainment events and for major exhibits.  This background combined with his considerable magic and presentation skills makes him a natural for entertaining and "infotainment" at sales meetings, corporate events, and trade shows.  

Rich's passion for magic began in the late 1970's when he was an invited guest at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, CA.  The Magic Castle is an exclusive and world-famous private club known as the "mecca for magic".   As a business student in college, he was most impressed by the ability of magicians to produce money from thin air.  It was there, when he saw real silver coins magically materializing at one's fingertips that he decided he wanted to learn how to do that!   And learn he did.  Rich studied with some of the most well-known magicians in the inner circle of magic, auditioned to become a magician member of the Magic Castle's Academy of Magical Arts and eventually became a paid performer, featured in the Magic Castle's Close-up Gallery.  

Rich's professional magic career began when many of his Freeman clients would hire him "after hours” to entertain at their receptions and social events. Exhibitors, amazed by his close-up magic skills realized that his magic is the perfect way to attract a crowd, show the benefits of their product in an entertaining and memorable way, and to bring in more leads!   Today, Rich Hurley is a full-time magician and performer that specializes in custom sales presentations and entertainment for corporate events.

Rich has a charming and disarming style of magic that is fun and amazing. His natural sales ability and his genuine interest in people comes through in all his performances. The result is entertaining and hilarious fun.
